An Important Change—And How You Can Be Part of It
I’ve made a decision about this Substack, and my prayer is that you’ll be part of it in whatever way you can.
(This isn’t a standard post! If you’re new here, welcome—I’ll be back with a regular article next time. You can explore my past articles here.)
Dear wonderful readers,
Today marks one year since I published my first article on Substack! It has been a joy to invest time, research, reflection, and prayer into each piece. I’m so grateful to see how God is using this community—thank you for being part of it.
An invitation to support this work
I’ve made a big decision: I’m opening paid subscriptions on my Substack, but in a way that keeps my writing accessible to everyone.
My articles will remain free. There won’t be a paywall because I want this work to be available to all who could benefit from it. For those who see the value of this ministry, I’m inviting you to consider supporting it financially, if you are able, and you’ll get a few perks along the way.
This year, my ministry will be entirely supported by those who choose to contribute.
The bigger picture of this ministry
This Substack is just one part of my ministry to support Christian families with neurodivergent children. For example, over the past few months, that ministry has included:
Contributing an article to Growing Faith, by Youthworks
Training children’s ministry leaders in supporting neurodivergent children
Appearing on the Missional Mamas podcast
Writing an advent reflection for Common Grace
Pastorally caring for parents with neurodivergent children
Working on a chapter for a parenting book (coming next year!)
Continuing to work on my own book for Christian families raising neurodivergent children
And of course, researching, writing, reflecting on, and praying about each Substack article.
In God’s kindness, new opportunities in this area continue to arise, and your support of this Substack will help sustain the full scope of this work.
I love supporting families with neurodivergent members and their supporters and communities. I’m passionate about continuing this ministry as we work together to understand and embrace the uniqueness of our families for the benefit of our families and for the glory of God.
Free for all, with a bonus for paid subscribers
I have 23 articles in my archive, and those will remain free. I’ll also continue writing two free articles each month.
For those who choose to support me financially, I’ll create monthly exclusive content—sharing behind-the-scenes thoughts, extra insights, reflections, and activities that didn’t quite fit into my main articles.
How to become a paid subscriber

Thank you for being part of this wonderful community.
