Something Worth Celebrating
Thankful to God for what he's grown and what he may do yet
(This isn’t a standard post. If you’re new here, welcome! I’ll be back with a regular article next time. You can explore my past articles here.)
Dear wonderful readers,
I have two things I’d love to celebrate with you.
Firstly, today marks two years since I published my first Substack article!
What began with a single article has grown into an archive of over 50 resources and a community that spans 44 countries. Many hours of research, interviews, reflection, prayer, and time in the Bible go into each article. I never take lightly the privilege of speaking into this space.
Thank you for reading, sharing, and encouraging me along the way. Your messages telling me an article helped you feel understood, equipped or less alone are deeply encouraging.
Some of you have also chosen to support this work financially. Thank you so much. Your partnership enables me to continue giving significant time to this work.
If you’ve benefited from these articles, I’d love you to consider becoming a paid subscriber and partnering with me. I’m working towards making this ministry financially sustainable so I can continue this work well.
Paid subscribers receive access to the full archive and additional monthly content — for less than the cost of two coffees a month. Yearly subscribers will also receive one complimentary ticket to the online seminars I’m launching this year, and founding members will receive two.
The second thing to celebrate is that I’ve been appointed Honorary Research Fellow at Mary Andrews College (Australian University of Theology).
This appointment recognises and supports the research and writing I’m doing in this area — work that flows into this Substack, my podcast, ‘Neurodivergence, Family & Faith’, seminars and training, contributing chapters to two books, guest lectures, and the (slow but steady!) writing of my book.
The fellowship is unfunded, but it provides an important academic affiliation and support as I continue developing resources in this space. I’m grateful for the partnership and eager to see how God uses it.
Under God, I hope to continue this work in 2026 for the encouragement of Christian families with neurodivergent members and the glory of God.
With love in Christ,
Kate

Well done Kate on your recognition by Mary Andrews College! You are doing a much-needed thing in this space - God bless and keep you and your family as you press into this work.
Congratulations Kate!! I pray that your position will help get your research further into the world to build bridges of understanding. Bless you for following your heart to God’s purposes and good plans for changing the world!
